Work ability and work participation – working-age population classification comparison results
Work ability refers to the relationship between an individual’s resources and the demands of their job. Work ability is affected by various factors, some of which are related to the individual, some to the work environment and some to the social conditions of working. Consequently, there is no single indicator for work ability that can be retrieved from the registers. Based on the register data, we studied the individual variables related to work ability according to the holistic concept of work ability and their relationship with work participation at the population level. The analysis was carried out with the means of a cluster analysis. The results can be viewed at a national level or by wellbeing services county.
